The Graduate Attributes of Biotechnology Program as adopted by our institution are as follows:
The program aims to provide in-depth studies and diverse application in the key areas of biotechnology, including molecular biology, bioinformatics, industrial biotechnology, plant biotechnology, animal biotechnology, microbial biotechnology, immunology and agricultural biotechnology.
Create and develop strategies that reflect the interdisciplinary nature of science, regulation and enterprise in the biotechnology field.
Students graduating from ITS Institute of Health and Allied Sciences with the B.Sc. (Biotechnology) & M.Sc. (Biotechnology) degree will be able to:
a. Recognize and explain intracellular macromolecular structure & function, organization, and regulation in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.
b. Evaluate and explain examples of biotechnology based methods employed in disciplines such as agriculture, medicine, forensics etc.
c. Demonstrate ability to recognize biochemical and molecular biology methods for analysis of protein and nucleic acid structure and function.
d. Recognize and describe the various methods used in biotechnology applications.
e. Demonstrate proficiency at preparing laboratory stock solutions, performing calculations used in biotechnology based preparations, and implementing laboratory safety protocol.
