    Fresher’s Party - Batch 2021-2025

     

    Dated: 7th May 2022

     Student Council of I.T.S Institute of Health & Allied Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy organized Fresher's Party for the batch of B.P.T. (2021-2025) on 7 May, 2022. BPT 2nd year students were the host of the event. The event was organised with complete support of student council. The program themed as "Elegance of 90's in witch students performed on the music and movies of 90's era. This year's theme was fun and enjoyable for students. The program became a grand success with complete guidance from management of ITS Respected Mr. Surinder Sood Sir, Director Public relations ITS - The Education group graced the occasion with his presence. He welcomed students and encouraged them to use the state of art infrastructure and facilities provided by I.T.S to become skilled professionals. Dr. C.S. Ram, Principal, I.T.S IHAS also welcomed the students into the I.T.S family and wished them best for their upcoming journey at the institution. He also encouraged them to work hard and bring laurels to the Institution and to their families. The event was organised with great support by student council mainly BPT 2nd Year students and all arrangements were made by students under the guidance of the faculties. The event showcased fun skits, group dances, solo dances, singing and instrument playing by students of all years of BPT. The highlight was the ramp walk done by BPT 1st year students. BPT 1st year students were also given titles and awards as follows:

     I.T.S IHAS celebrated International Women's Day on 8th March, 2022 organized by Women Cell with great enthusiasm to spread the awareness about women empowerment amongst the society. All the women employees working in the I.T.S IHAS department were cordially invited to join the program.

     
    Every year, International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8 to spread the message of gender equality and work together in making a better society where there is no gender bias. According to UN , the theme for International Women's Day, 2022 (IWD 2022) is 'Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow'. The event was conducted under the able guidance of Honorable Vice Chairman- I.T.S - The Education Group, Mr. Arpit Chadha Sir. Dr. CS Ram, Principal, I.T.S IHAS, elaborated the knowledge on Women's Day and its history. Dr. CS Ram also mentioned the list of facilities being provided in the I.T.S Campus by Management for female students, faculties and staff members.
     
    An enlightening webinar was conducted by ITS Physiotherapy Alumni, Dr Indu Kashyap. Dr Indu Kashyap is a renowned Physiotherapist working in the field of women health and wellness. She has done her master’s degree in orthopedics and has completed various diploma courses in the field of women health. She is a co founder of Health Specifics Physiotherapy and Wellness. She has served as Head of the department in various renowned hospitals. After such an educative webinar, a grand cultural event was organized to make the event more lively.

     Students of BPT from I.T.S Institute of Health & Allied Sciences won 3rd Prize in University Level Poster Competition under UG/PG category on 28th February, 2022. There were 92 participants in total. Shruti Kaushik, Divya Sharma and Chestha Tyagi of BPT grabbed the prize. They performed with a well explained poster with an elaborative speech on the same. All three of them were awarded with bronze medal.

    The event was organised by CCS University as a 7-days long knowledgeable event to celebrate National Science Day from 22nd February, 2022 to 28th February, 2022.

    Event Report

    JOSH 2022 - INTER BATCH SPORTS MEET

    Dated: 25th February 2022 to 1st March 2022

     

    I.T.S Institute of Health & Allied Sciences Organised an Inter Batch Sports Meet from 25th  Feb to 1st Match 2022. The event was held under the guidance of Honrable Vice-Chairman I.T.S The Education Group Sh. Arpit Chadha who has always promoted sports and other extracurricular activities for the overall development of the students.Various outdoor sports and indoor games competition were held. The sports included Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Throwball, Kho-Kho, Badminton(singles, doubles), Table Tennis(singles, doubles), Chess, Carrom. Athletics events included Races for boys and girls in 100m, 200m, 4x100m, 1000m, Shotput and Discus Throw. Venue for different games were I.T.S main ground, I.T.S sports complex, badminton court, volley ball ground etc. There was availability of first aid, pain relieving sprays, cold packs and other immediate on ground physiotherapy help to students in case of injury provided by physiotherapy O.P.D of I.T.S IHAS. Students participated in large numbers and enjoyed all the events. There was competition among the batches with each batch trying to outclass the other. Faculty members played the role of referees. A sports officer co-ordinated the events. Students thanked the faculty and management for their relentless effort in conducting the sports in a peaceful atmosphere.All winner were given medals and certificates. And team winners are provided with trophies.

    Department of Physiotherapy
    I.T.S Institute of Health and Allied Sciences celebrated World Physiotherapy Day on 8th Sept.2021. Physiotherapy has emerged as an integral part of health care system by proving its efficacy in treatment of various ailments. A physiotherapist is known to restore function and prevent disability. One such renowned face Dr. Banty Sheware, Incharge Physiotherapist of CTVS Department AIIMS, graced the occasion with his presence.
    A series of activities were organized in order to celebrate the day -
    1.    A Cricket Match was organized between team I.T.S and team U.P Physio in the morning. I.T.S Team set the target of 197 runs in 20 overs, however U.P Physio team could not chase the target and lost the match by 35 runs.
    2.    Physiotherapy Awareness Program was organized in Physiotherapy OPD and Dental OPD to apprise the rural population about the benefits of Physiotherapy.
    3.    Poster Competition for students was held in which students beautifully depicted the importance of physiotherapy through posters not only in day to day lives but during the COVID-19 pandemic.
    4.    A Cultural program based on the theme of Physiotherapy comprising of Skit and Dances were performed by BPT IInd Year and IIIrd Year students which kept the audience spell bound. BPT IVth year students created a one of kind ramp walk where they depicted various pathological gaits which are assessed and treated by Physiotherapist. The ramp walk was a tribute to all those patients who inspite of having various disabilities do not lose hope and walk.
    5.    A Live Webinar was conducted on the topic “Robotic Rehabilitation in Neurological Conditions” by guest speaker-Dr. Manmohita (MPT-Manipal University) and work experience in Apollo Life Studio Hyderabad. She enlightened the students on the role of Robotics in assessment as well as planning treatment interventions of various neurological conditions like Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury and Parkinson’s.
    All the events were conducted under the patronage of our Honourable Vice-Chairman-I.T.S The Education Group Shri. Arpit Chadha, who has always supported Physiotherapy profession in all its initiatives. Students actively took part in all events and performed well under the guidance of faculty members.

     I.T.S Institute of Health & Allied Sciences under the supervision of Mr. Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman I.T.S The Education Group organized International Yoga Day Event and competition on the occasion on 21 June 2021. In the competition students were told to perform Yoga Asana at home and send the pictures. The event saw very enthusiastic participation from students. A Yoga & Meditation session was conducted for Faculty & Staff members. The program was attended by faculty and students from I.T.S Institute of Health & Allied Sciences and I.T.S College of Pharmacy.

    Dr. C. S. Ram a physiotherapist by profession conducted the Yoga Asana session. Dr. C. S. Ram explained about various asana and their general benefits and the precautions which need to be taken while performing the asana. Students and faculty joined him in performing Yoga Asana. The session lasted for about 1 hour. All the faculty, students and staff thanked the management for arranging such a nice event to mark the occasion.

    I.T.S Institute of Health & Allied Sciences celebrated World Health Day on 7th 2021. Healthcare has always been a top priority of our Honorable Chairman Sh. R. P. Chadha Sir and Vice Chairman Sh. Arpit Chadha Sir who have provided state of the art facilities in the Institute for Health related courses and clinics. On this occasion students participated enthusiastically in a walk in the campus to raise awareness about this day. Nukkad Natak was performed in the courtyard of OPD to bring to light the importance of good Mental Health and Eating Habits. A colourful display of Rangoli brought to light the hidden talent among students. Attractive Hand Made Posters were created by the students of all batches on various themes. A week long series of events will mark the occasion.
